Wind storm damage
In this case wind driven rain moved into the roof shingles of this home, through to the attic. From there the water proceeded to enter the kitchen and through to the crawlspace. It affected the exterior wall, we needed to remove appliances and cabinets to access the wall cavity and remove wet insulation. Affected laminate was removed. Laminate is made with synthetic wood that is full of glue and when it dries it swells causing the flooring to buckle and loose its integrity.
After the demo was complete we set fans and dehumidifiers and monitored the job daily until it was completely dry.
